2010 will mark Mike's 7th year as the Blackhawks' Head Coach and 11th with the organization. Mike was also the head coach of the Council Bluffs Rams of the Nebraska Indoor Football League (NIFL) from 2000-2002 compiling a 21-7 record and two Indoor Bowl appearances. In 2003, Mike was a coach/player for the River City Redemption, also of the NIFL, going 10-1 and winning the league championship. In 2010 Mike lead the Blackhawks to their first professional championship victory by defeating the Kansas Koyotes 67-13. Mike graduated from Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson High School in 1983. He is married to wife Kathleen, and has three daughters; Megan, Erin, & Allison. BRETT RYAN - Offensive Coordinator
TED HENNINGS - Defensive Line
As a professional player, Ted played for the Chicago Bears (NFL) in 1990, Birmingham Fire (WLFA) 1991, Detroit Drive (AFL) from 1991-1992, and the Dallas Texans (AFL) in 1993. Ted joined the Blackhawks in 2007 and is currently an assistant football coach at Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln High School. Ted's family includes wife Kristine, son Austin, and two daughters Hannah & Miranda. DONTAE ALLEN - Defensive Coordinator

Marty played football growing up for 10 years. He studied education at Northwest Missouri State University and became a high school teacher from 2003 - 2006 in Kansas City, MO. In the spring of 2006 he auditioned and participated in NBC's hit reality show "The Biggest Loser" as the Missouri state representative. He lost 146 lbs on the show, and has now dedicated himself to helping others lose weight and achieve their personal best health. Marty played for the Blackhawks in 2008 as a defensive lineman. Him and his wife, Amy, have a company, Reality Wellness, in which they help provide obesity solutions through speaking engagements, personal training, and corporate programs. Mike's experiance as an assistant coach began in 2003 with the Nebraska Bears of the North American Football League. MIKE CHAPMAN - Staff Writer/Statistician
Mike graduated from UNO with a degree in Journalism emphasizing in Public Relations/Advertising. He spent two years working in the Mavericks Sports Information Department. He currently lives in Omaha, Neb with his wife Jessica. 2009 is Mike's first season with the Iowa Blackhawks. ACE HENDRICKS - Senior Staff Writer
Ace has been writing for the Blackhawks since 2007 and is currently covering the APFL for IndoorFootballFan.com. He is also a coach for Senior League Baseball (2003-present) and coached high school football in Des Moines until 2002. He has three sons, Scotty, Jackson, & Pacen. The Blackhawks' coaches found Black-Jack's egg on the field in 2004 and thought it was a practice ball and tossed it in with the other practice balls. He hatched on New Year's Day in 2005. The players fed him Monster Energy Drinks, Dan's Pizza and Celebrate Catering's BBQ so he would grow strong and fast. He's been with the team ever since.
